Andy was born and raised in Yorkshire and Began turning in 1999 when, having taken ill health retirement, he was looking for something new and challenging to occupy his time.

He gained NVQ woodturning and in 2002 achieved the City & Guilds teaching certificate.

IN 2004 he was Accepted onto the

register of professional turners.

He has tutored courses for the last three years at John Boddy’s Fine wood & Tool Store and has demonstrated At various clubs and wood suppliers nationally.

As well as teaching, andy also undertakes commission pieces AND attendS craft fairs, where he often demonstrates and where his work is on display and for sale.
